Neil is Head of Property Management & Managing Partner at Johnson Fellows.
Neil qualified in 1987 and joined Johnson Fellows in 1987 to establish the Management Department now comprising a team of 11 undertaking asset and property management, service charge, corporate estate management over a UK portfolio of retail, office, industrial, leisure and residential.
Clients include Tesco Stores, One Stop Stores, Central England Cooperative, plus property management companies, property companies and individuals.
Chris is a Partner and Head of the Agency Department. He is a retail property specialist having acted nationally for in excess of 17 years.
Chris joined Johnson Fellows in October 2001 and acts for a number of well-known retailers and private landlords and developers, both in town, out of town and roadside. His primary activity is the sale, letting and acquisition of retail premises and sites across the country.
The Agency Team acts for a number of national occupiers and clients such as Lidl, Co-op, Tesco and Games Workshop.
Anthony joined Johnson Fellows in 2009 and is a Partner and Head of the Building Consultancy Department. He is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 17 years of experience dealing with commercial property.
Anthony has been responsible for providing a full range of Building Surveying and Project Management services to various national and local organisations including Pension Funds, Banks, Large Property Companies, Private Landowners, Fire and Police Authorities, Schools and Further Education Colleges. Specifically these appointments have covered:-
The Building Consultancy Team acts for clients such as Co-op, Games Workshop, Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, Lloyds Bank, Onestop Stores Limited, RAL Limited, Solihull Council and Pallet Track.
Ian is a Partner in the Birmingham office within the Property Management team. He has 25 years’ worth of experience within the commercial property market. He has specialised in property management for the past 17 years having previously worked as an office agent.
Ian has experience of managing a variety of properties across the UK, including shopping business centres, retail parades, office buildings and industrial estates.
Ian deals with corporate estate management, investment portfolio management, landlord service charge management, database management and service charge budget management. He acts for a range of clients including national retailers, property companies, charities and private investors.
Paul, a seasoned lease advisory specialist with over 24 years’ experience, who heads up the lease advisory team, is also joint senior partner.
During his career he has advised a wide range of high-profile clients including Tesco, Birmingham City Council, Royal Mail, Central England Co-Operative, Network Rail, Post Office and National Grid. His expertise spans rent reviews, lease renewals and strategic portfolio advice across the retail, office, and industrial sectors.
Richard joined Johnson Fellows in 2023 having worked around Birmingham and the Black Country previously for Bulleys, Cushman & Wakefield and most recently Pennycuick Collins.
Richard is a partner in the Commercial Agency department dealing with all aspects of marketing for lettings and sales, as well as search and acquisition work.
With over 20 years’ experience Richard has acted for Landlord investors, developers and occupiers including such as A&J Mucklow, Langtree Developments, Standard Life Trustee Company and Securitas, as well as various charities and private individuals.
Mark joined Johnson Fellows in 2020 having previously worked for CBRE, Avison Young and Burley Browne.
As a partner based in the Birmingham office, he works in the Agency team – specialising in Industrial / Warehouse properties and development as well as offices, and has over 30 years of experience across the West and East Midlands. Mark also is experienced with the retail sector.
He acts for a variety of clients – investors, developers and occupiers – and has worked on both disposals and acquisitions across the Midlands for clients such as Hortons Estate, Trebor Developments, Prologis, ABB, Birmingham Specialities, as well as Staffordshire County Council and Birmingham City Council. He has also carried out expert witness work for Dudley Council.
Mark is a long term member of the Industrial Agents Society (IAS) and a current West Midlands committee member and ex-Chairman of the West Midlands Branch, with over 25 years of committee membership under his belt.
Maria is a highly-experienced Chartered Surveyor specialising in property management, having worked client-side as well as in consultancy.
Maria is a member of the Property Management team based in our Birmingham office. She has worked for 22 years within the commercial property market, having previously been Head of Commercial Management at a private property investment company.
Maria has managed a range of mixed commercial portfolios UK wide including 500,000 sq. ft at Salford Quays and her experience includes asset evaluation and disposal, professional team management and project management and cladding remediation.
Maria deals with property and investment portfolio management including service charge, insurance and database management. She acts for a range of clients including national retailers, property companies, charities and private investors.
Dan, who has over 18 years’ experience as a property professional, has joined us as head of facilities management.
Dan joins Johnson Fellows from MK2 Real Estate where he was facilities manager. His previous roles include property manager at FirstPort Property Services Ltd and PPM service delivery manager at Bellrock Property and Facilities Management in Leicester.
Associate partner Anthony brings extensive industry knowledge and a client-focused approach that aligns with Johnson Fellows’ commitment to delivering tailored, high-quality property solutions.
Previously at BNP Paribas Real Estate, he formed part of the occupier solutions team for over seven years dealing with clients such as Accenture, Centrica and EDF Energy.
Tina is an Associate Partner in the Birmingham office within the Property Management team. Tina has 22 years’ surveying experience, working within both commercial and residential sectors. Her primary focus is within commercial property management and she has experience of managing a variety of properties across the UK, Channel Islands and Gibraltar. These include retail shops and parades, office buildings, banks, industrial estates, and power stations.
Tina deals with corporate estate management, investment portfolio management, landlord service charge management, database management and service charge budget management.
Nick works alongside Anthony Foster, to continue the team’s growth across a wide range of sectors, including industrial, retail, office, healthcare, leisure, education, and residential.
Nick has joined from Pennycuick Collins, where he led on condition surveys, dilapidations advice and contract administration for a range of high-profile commercial, residential and mixed-use portfolios. He brings with him over a decade of experience working with the likes of Travelodge, Lloyds Bank, and Lendlease, and has particular expertise in dealing with listed buildings across the country.
Angela is a senior surveyor working within the Property Management team in our Birmingham office.
She deals with the management of corporate estates and investment portfolios, particularly service charges and budgets.
Prior to joining Johnson Fellows Robert had 12 years’ experience of NHS Facilities Management and was a lead compliance auditor. He has a Public Service Diploma and also IOSH Managing Safely Certificate. Robert works alongside Chris Monteith on the company’s leading Facilities Management contracts
Having been with Johnson Fellows since 1997, Rachel is the partnership secretary and manages all aspects of the accounting functions for both the partnership and property management department.
Sue joined Johnson Fellows in 2003 and as well as being Office Manager, Sue also provides secretarial support for the Lease Advisory Department as well as supporting the team in the Manchester Office.
Jill joined Johnson Fellows in 2005 and is an Autocad technician specialising in Land Registry Plans, measured surveys and planning applications. Jill is also the Assistant to the Building Surveying department.
Charlie joined in September 2023 as a help desk manager after coming from a previous help desk role working within both commercial and residential.
Her role consists of her being an immediate point of contact for all clients and customer’s request.
She works alongside the Facilities Managers in providing customer service communication and response on portfolios such as Wing Yip.
Narinder is an Assistant Property Manager in the management department where she assists with a broad portfolio, having previously worked at Avison Young.
Paul is Head of Valuation, based in the Birmingham Office.
He has practised in the West Midlands for almost 30 years advising on commercial, industrial and retail land and property for occupiers, investors, financial institutions and other stakeholders.
Other specialisms include residential development sites and funding, valuation based disputes (professional negligence, trespass, and Section 18 Valuations for dilapidations), Charities Act valuations, and Strategic Reviews, Company Accounts/Taxation, and Depreciated Replacement Cost valuations, mainly for schools.
Paul joined Johnson Fellows in 2008 to expand their Valuation Department, having previously been a Partner at some of the largest International surveying and valuation practices’ Birmingham Offices (the amount of properties valued annually has risen from below £20m to over £80m this year).
He acts for a range of clients from Banks and financial institutions, pension funds and administrators, other professionals, occupiers and investors, ranging from large funds and property companies, Trusts, local Councils and other Public Sector bodies, Charities, School Academies and private individuals.
Chris is a consultant in the Manchester office.
For almost 40 years, Chris has specialised in the retail market, first as an agent learning the nuts and bolts of retail property and for the last 20 years specialising in Lease Advisory providing strategic and dispute resolution to clients, in respect of rent reviews, lease renewals and lease re-gears throughout the UK. He is often called to be an Expert Witness.
Clients include, Waterstones, Next, Schuh, Fat Face, White Stuff, Sainsbury’s, Superdrug, Signet and Three.
Chris is a member of the RICS President’s panels of Arbitrators and Independent Experts.
Mark is a Consultant in the London office, where he deals with retail and restaurant agency and investment transactions, as well as rent review / lease renewal instructions.
With over 30 years experience dealing with the retail and restaurant sector across Southern England he is able to provide a comprehensive overview and detailed advice on all matters for both occupier and investor clients.
Mark is on the RICS Panel of Rent Review Arbitrators.
Mark joined Johnson Fellows in 2017 and now provides a strong personal service to the clients.
